A total of 3320 students appeared for AISSCE-2010, class XII bofard exam conducted by CBSE from Andaman and Nicobar islands.

Kum. Nithya nair scored 96.4% (482/500) marks in tha same and was ranked first in these islands.

The felicitation ceremony was held in the Rajniwas PortBlair.the programme was organised by the Directorate of Education A&N islandson 23rd June 2010.

In that function Kum.Nithyanair of VKV,PortBlair was felicitated with a trophy and Mathew Memorial Gold Medal.

The Principal received the Rolling trophy for the Best Urban Senior secondary school from the Hon'ble Lieutinent Governor.

From VKV 70 studentes appeared for the above said exam and 59 students got first class (including 39 students who secured distinction) and 6students got second class three failures and two compartment.
